Afterlife
Rex worked diligently behind the counter at his precious nightclub, Afterlife. Despite its long work hours, he enjoyed working there and meeting new people. Rex, a screamer looking sharply dressed in his bartender outfit, began humming softly to himself as he polished whichever glass he deemed dirty.
Nothing was ever clean enough for him.
Rex gradually stopped cleaning and instead took the moment to enjoy the homely feeling the club gave during the day. It was quite a transformation. During the day, it could practically look like a cafe with love seats and small private booths along the side of the walls. There was a wide empty space that was the dance floor where, during the day, Rex sometimes held events for the little ones.
He called them little at least. It was so cute how they all thought they were adults. Those kids were just in middle school, after all.
Rex shook his head with a small private smile before gently advising some of the local kids that they should go home.
"It's 6. You guys should go home and do homework before you come here."
They ignored him. Rex shook his head and calmly went back to work. They'd at least be out at 8.
From 8 to 9, he started shooing the kids out and serve some adults that came early some food. Party people have hefty appetites. Rex knew this as a fact. At 9, the dance floor would be open. It was during 11 that he brought out the neonlights, disco ball, rave sticks and everything that yelled party out there. Music also ranged from party to rock to Latino music. And some strange requests if people payed extra. Of course, music wasn't his area of expertise, that was the DJ's job; but almost everything was. Even if his boss insisted that he needs help (aside from the bodyguards and waitresses), Rex politely refused. He was a hands-on guy. He knew he'd go crazy if someone set up the smoke in the wrong place or whatever. And his boss didn't persist the subject too long. Less help meant more money.
Just then, the patient screamer got a phone call. He lazily flipped his cell open.
"Hey sis. Outta school yet?"
His sister's reply wasn't too welcoming.
"No shit! Left hours ago. But guess who stayed behind this time?"
Rex rolled his eyes as a small smile crept on his lips.
"I don't know all the people you work with..."
"It's Maksim!"
Rex arched a brow as he heard his sister Nikita crack up on the other end. He chuckled a bit himself, finding it hard to imagine the heavy Russian being actually forced to stay in school. He's probably dying for a vodka.
"Well I'm at work now....."
"No, that's cool. Just wanted to let you know. Have fun! Tell me any drunk-people stories when you get back."
Rex rolled his eyes in annoyance this time.
"I don't let people get drunk.... At least not majorily wasted..."
He insisted. His sister snorted rudely.
"Fail bartender!!!! See ya!"
And with that, she hung up. Rex pocketed his cell then sat on his stool and watched the kiddos having a private conversation in hushed whispers about school and girls and video games and idols and whatever. It was such a contrast compared to the night.
With a sigh, the screamer closed his eyes peacefully, enjoying the calmness before the "storm."

Re: Afterlife
It was already passed 11 o'clock by now when a short woman at a height of 5'01" ft. came into the bar and took a seat at the counter. She appeared around 16? 18? and, though minus any hood over her face, she was evidently a hunter. She slumped the side of her face on the counter and growled something almost inaudible under her breathe... something about "I hate" and "stupid life". Then suddenly, she lifted her head towards Rex.
"What's on the menu?" Her expression was a sour one.

Re: Afterlife
Rex turned and flashed a pleasent smile but was presented with a short woman who looked extremely upset. This was not the usual manner he was used to. Yes, sure, the people that came in sometimes became angry drunks, but usually, people came in....well...happy.
"Er... menu? Pardon me, but may I see your I.D. please? Did Xander let another young-un in again? I apologize, but if you're under age, I'm going to have to ask you to leave."
Once again, the young common infected had disappointed Rex. Xander was probably the worst bodyguard Rex had ever met in his entire life. He always let anyone who made him laugh in-and that wasn't even a hard thing to do. Still smiling in a friendly manner and suppressing a depressed sigh within him, the screamer bowed slightly.
"You can always come tommorow at six maybe? All the other kids your age come around that time anyways."
The bartender suggested as politely as he could.

Re: Afterlife
Jiji narrowed her eyes at Rex and bared her fangs at him, giving off a low irritated growl in the back of her throat before quieting down to mind her manners. "I'm 25. Here's my ID". She pulled her ID card out from inside her jacket in a swift but lithe gesture, holding the card between her middle and index finger with the front of the card facing Rex to see. And sure enough, the date on it proved she was 25 and looked pretty new, at least by a few months or half a year. When she was sure Rex got a good look at it, she withdrew the card back into her jacket like the way it came.
"Looks can be deceiving, you know... mind if a take a quick nap here? It's been one of those days today..." she said in an expressive pessimistic tone that could easily say "I've been there before and been given plenty of trash, if you think you got guts, I dare you to mess with me", though it wasn't the kind of voice that necessarily said she was angry, just kinda mentally worn out from stress. She slumped her head back onto the counter once more. "In fact, never mind, forget the food. And don't give me a beer, I don't do that wasted trash. I'll ask for a water later." She started to grumble a little before shifting her head a bit to look at Rex.
"Ya ever lived in the 'apocalypse days'?" She asked a little less grumpily.

Rex jolted on the spot once he saw the ID and felt his cheeks turn pink.
Oh jeez, how could he? He had a sister that was as short as an elementary student and she was 19! Rex quickly dropped what he was cleaning and offered an apologizing smile in reply to Jiji's ferocious frown.
"My apologies! Of course! Feel free to nap here.... Although..." The screamer fiddled with his fingers, now unnaturally nervous, "I don't think that's the best option because the DJ is going to come soon and it's going to be awfully loud..." Rex had an instant thought in how to apologize for his behavior and turned away from his strange under-aged looking customer.
"You want Sex on the Beach? Or a simple Pina Cola-" Rex stopped himself when he heard her say that she didn't even want beer. What on earth was she doing at the bar?
"Uh... sure.... the water can be....on the house..."
What was he supposed to do? Ignore her? He glanced worriedly with eyes that held no pupils back at her and fidgeted, uncomfortable in not knowing what to do.
Take a deep breath, Rex....Just breathe...
After taking a couple of breaths, Rex finally calmed down and once again flashed a cheerful smile only to become solemn again.
"Um....yeah... I did.... With my sis...." Rex absentmindedly began cleaning the counter with a towel. There was no mess but still....
"Uh....why?"
The bartender asked with uncertainty

Re: Afterlife
The large shipping truck slowed to a stop around back of the local bar. It was time for the daily shipment of alcohol, toilet paper and napkins they usually went through on a day to day basis. Once the car was turned off, the driver-side door opened and down hopped a man you wouldn't expect to be a driver. The male was oddly attractive, even by non-infected standards, with a slim but fit build and feminine facial features. Usually a driver would be middle-aged, large, or even slightly overweight, you would think. But no, this guy looked like he could be a college student. A simple common infected doing his usual work. On closer examination though, a bit of an oddity became loudly apparent. He was missing his right arm. All that was left was a lump where his shoulder seemed to still be. Which begged the question: why was a one-armed twenty-one year old doing a job that revolved around lifting boxes? One correct answer was that hi father was the owner of the company, so he was a shoe-in for an employee. But the answer he preferred was that he didn't allow his handicap to stop him from working hard. He didn't take charity or pity because of his handicap, so why slack off because of it?
Walking around to the back of the truck, Quinn gave the sliding door a tug and it slid open. Hopping up, he licked down the ramp and started loading boxes onto a dolly that would make the trips back and forth a bit easier. Thankfully he wasn't dropping off much, so he would be able to get all the boxes in one go.
Grabbing the handle of the dolly, he then pushed it down the ramp carefully, but with a precision that let you know he had done this same act over a million times before. Reaching the back door, he went to his keys and found the right one, unlocking it and opening the door. He pushed in the dolly and got to work unloading the boxes, working in silence and concentration. Once everything was done, he then grabbed the clipboard that was hooked to the dolly and headed towards the front. He needed the owners signature, and he could be on his way. Of course, that meant going to where people were. It was just a bit early, so hopefully it wouldn't be too loud.
Entering into the main area of the club, he scanned over with yellow eyes before then targeting who he needed. Rex. He then walked over, looking to the woman he was speaking to for a moment before then turning his attention back to the man. He held out the clipboard for him to sign, "The boxes are already unpacked in the usual spot. Do you need any help putting them away?" he asked, more out of politeness than actually caring to help. He wouldn't be a very good worker if he wasn't at least a little bit friendly with the customers, right?

Re: Afterlife
"I did say a quick nap, right?" She replied this time more calmly. DJ, huh? Didn't know you could dance at a bar... She mused before laying her head back down on the counter using her folded arms as a pillow. To be honest, this was her first time at a bar... well, a working running one anyway. Back during the apocalypse days, whenever she was really upset, the bars that were empty and deserted at the time were one of the places she would go to cool her steam off. She was a little hesitant at first when she decided to come here instead of the bar in the "Savage Zone" area, and she was glad this bartender seemed nice... for now.
Just when she was about to say why she asked, she noticed the one-armed man walk in and grew silent. Not silent out of intimidation or awe or what not, just plain silence watching the man approach the counter before returning her head down.
I didn't do it, it was the one-armed man! Jiji smiled a bit and quietly snickered from the random thought that popped through her head, a memory of a quote she had heard somewhere before but couldn't remember where.

Re: Afterlife
Rex nodded a bit too eagerly at Jiji's response.
"That's right. Feel free to nap anywhere you like. Well not anywhere...but here....somewhere here anywhere. Oh I'm sorry..."
The screamer fell silent. That was strange. He wasn't normally so...confusing... Oh well. As he looked up, he noticed Quinn arrive and his smile grew wider.
Great, a familiar face. Perhaps now he can act normal.
"Hi Quinn! Oh thank you so much, you're such an angel. Did you see Xander upfront? Was he doing his job? That kid, ya know?"
Rex came from the back to meet up to Quinn and extended a hand for the clipboard.
"The manager isn't here. Like always. You don't mind if I sign in his place, right? And yes, I'm not half as manly as you so I do think I'll need help..."
Rex gave a soft shy chuckle as his cheeks turned red for admitting this. Just then, the front doors burst open and who else had to hear what Rex said but the DJ?
DJ Spinstar that is.
Rex felt his eye twitch.
"You're a pansy and ya know it Fido."
The obnoxious hunter called out mockingly.
DJ Spinstar was a hunter named Kai Spencer. A very bratty hunter who didn't take crap from anyone. His hoodie had dog-ears attached which would give you the impression that he's cute and friendly. He may be cute, but he was far from friendly. Bangs covered his eyes but you knew what to expect from his moods. Angry, angry, angry.
"Oi oi! Who's that chick over there? Ya you. Fuckin' sleeping here? Why the hell would you sleep in a club?"
Rex fidgeted nervously at Kai's cursing.
"Leave her alone...she's had a rough day.
The hunter onnly snorted loudly at this.
"Rough day? Then go fuck some zombie or crawl in your bed and sleep it off. It's what I do."
With a lazy shrug, Kai finally noticed the third party standing there and immediately hissed like an angry cat.
"Quinn..."
He growled angrily before turning on his heels and heading for the door.
"Imma unpack my equipment. You should start getting ready yourself Rex."

Re: Afterlife
The happy look of Rex seemed to put Quinn a but at ease. Having seen the man looking uncomfortible before it was good for him to be back to his usual self. Quinn didn't mind happy people, and he knew Rex was a good worker and not like some of those overly happy slackers. Those he couldn't stand. "I entered through the back." he commented, basically pointing out how he wouldn't have been able to check on the guy in the front that way. Nodding then when he asked if his signature was alright. The manager had told him that he would allow Rex in charge while away so at the moment Rex was the one with the power.
When Rex accepted his help, Quinn stared for a moment, mentally calculating how much time he had to actually stay and help. He had an hour before his next job time so he supposed if he was quick he'd have time to unpack. Though him being "more manly" felt like a silly excuse. It was simply unpacking their shipment of alcohol and napkins. You didn't need to be very strong in order to do it. But oh well Quinn offered, and he wasn't going to go against his word.
Hearing the bursting of the doors, Quinn turned his head a but to see none other than his troublesome roommate. Honestly, Quinn did not understand what continually put Kai in such a bad mood. The guy did nothing but be lazy all day then play musc for money. To Quinn that seemed like a very laid back and stress free life.
And now the insults start. Quinn let out a little sigh, a small sign of irritation reaching his face. For being one who didn't usually show emotion, Kai seemed to have a super power to always make him annoyed. Why thy lived together, the only answer Quinn could thunk of was convenience. The place was near his work and he only had to pay half the rent. That and with Quinn's work schedule he saw Kai more here than at the apartment.
When Kai went to insult the customer though, he had to speak up. "If you have the time to come in and act rudely, perhaps you should focus more on improving your work." he commented, eyes cold behind his glasses, staring straight at Kai's face, not feeling a fear fro
his hot anger.
When Kai turned to him, Quinn still stood, unphaswd by the hiss or the angry look. Fuck a zombie?Kai sure had a nice way with words. Quinn turned away from Kai then, looking back to Rex, just wanting the signature and to leave. "He seems as bitter as ever." he commented "I dont see why he'd be in a bad mood if he is fucking as many people as he leads on. It must be nice to be able to have so much free time to focus your energy on being unkind to others." grunts a bit and then places the clipboard down and turns to head back to the back, "I'll begin to unpack. Just put them in the usual spots, yeah?"

Re: Afterlife
As the two talked, she enjoyed her nap, smiling now and then at their words. Obviously as a Huntress, she had good hearing; and whether she liked it or not, she could hear distant conversations. She took a few quiet deep breathes now and then and just when she thought she was back to her perky self, she heard an obnoxiously vulgar voice pop in. Her lips turned into a frown when she heard him insult the friendly bartender. At that, she wanted to stand up, walk over and just say,
"Hey! Learn some respect, ya little brat! I don't care who you think you are, NO ONE deserves to be treated like that! So clean that mouth of yours or I will personally hand-wash it for you using your d*** as the SOAP!!" Or so she imagined herself saying and doing if he thought it was a bluff... She tried to stay quiet and inconspicuous... but it was then she heard the loud mouth in the eared hoodie speak directly to her.
"Oi oi! Who's that chick over there? Ya you. Fuckin' sleeping here? Why the hell would you sleep in a club?"
"Leave her alone...she's had a rough day.
"Rough day? Then go fuck some zombie or crawl in your bed and sleep it off. It's what I do."
Suddenly, before anyone knew what happened, she got up and side-kicked the hunter HARD square in the head and caused him to crash head-first into the counter and have glass cups fall over and break on top of him in alcohol and shards.
"Unlike SOME WOMEN, I'm NOT a WHORE, you sick son of a b****!!! I sleep where I want, DEAL WITH IT!!!"
Jiji then snapped back into reality as she was still sitting next to the counter with her head down, only growling quietly in response to what the hunter had said... She knew, as much as she wanted to beat the crap out of that jerk, it was not a smart idea to pick a fight with a stranger if you could help it. Instead, she had only imagined herself kicking his butt instead of actually doing so. It usually helped her avoid a fight...
She watched the hunter leave before continuing what ever left of her nap she could take until the music should start. Dancing sounded nice, she always loved to dance, so she wouldn't mind staying probably half an hour for that before going back home to check on her kid and go to bed.

Re: Afterlife
Rex watched Kai leave along with Quinn and Jiji then turned his head slightly to hear Quinn's comment and the huntress growl. Oh what did he expect? Hunters were expert evesdroppers.
"Uh...he's actually not all that bad when he's working.... He shuts up and he's a little too into the music to be mean to anyone. He even takes the time to be nice to....uhm....some... 'special' people."
Rex felt his cheeks grow redder. Right. That DJ was only nice to the people he was interested in and even then if he lost interest, it could get ugly. To all the other customers that requested music, he'd be rude and pushy and not afraid to criticize their choice. It was an ugly sight but people still came here. If they didn't bother Kai and left him to do his job, things would go pretty great. Rex grabbed a hold of the pen and began signing, giving a curt nod.
"Yup. Busy day today Quinn?"
Kai returned strolling lazily with a common infected following close behind with the DJ equipment on a trolley cart. Kai's cat-eared headphones were already on and his hoodie was down. This was exceptional because his bangs still covered his eyes (or lack of.)
Rex couldn't understand how someone so bitter could wear millions of cute accesories like Kai did.
As for the common infected...
"Xander! Get outside! I hired you as bodyguard for a reason."
Rex scolded gently. The young infected just flashed him a wide smile as he clumsily set up the equipment.
"Hahaha~!!! I have no idea what I'm doing~ But Kai said I should help him or else and I was all 'or else what?' and then he sucker punched me and I don't want Kai to sucker punch me again because it hurt so I came to help him. Plus he looks so adorable in those meow-meow headphones, don't cha think?"
Xander piped up quite happily. Rex shook his head at the bodyguard but finally accepted his excuse as always. As long as Xander will do his job afterwards.
"Shut up Xanxan you talk too much."
Kai growled as he lazily watched Xander set up, not lifting a finger to help him. Kai turned to Rex and nodded his head to get his attention.
"Yo Fido, what song do you want me to start out with?"
The dreaded question. Kai was sure to snap at Rex at how lousy his choice was regardless of what Rex chose. He began to feel trapped and stuttered, not wanting to be embaressed in front of Quinn and Jiji.

Re: Afterlife
Quinn sighed just a bit as it seemed Rex tried to stand up for the brat. It seemed that Rex was the type who couldn't find fault, even in those who obviously displayed it. And he knew exactly what Rex was talking about when he meant 'special'. Quinn had seen the male display this weird, almost bi-polar switch when someone of his interest appeared. Yet another point that made Quinn completely convinced that there had yet to be a part of Kai that he could stand. Even his work ethic was horrendous.
The delivery man brought his attention back to Rex when he was spoken to and then gave just a little smile, "No busier than usual." he said, watching the other sign, glad that at least that was done with. With the signature he could just simply leave, but he had said he'd help unpack. He had time, and he was sure in the back he wouldn't be bothered by anyone in the store. Or at least he hoped he wouldn't. Turning to get to the back, he then heard more conversation and turned to see Xander, the man from up front being forced to carry in Kai's equipment.
Typical.
Letting out yet another sigh and an almost disappointed shake of his head, he then went to the back. He didn't have time or the patience to deal with this hunter. He'd just unpack the small amount of supplies and then go to his next job. Going to the back, he got to work, pulling out a box cutter from his back pocket and raising a foot to the edge of the box, using one hand to expertly cut at the box, opening it. He then put the cutter away and started unloading the alcohol into their designated areas. Mostly he was shipping beers, due to that being the main drink that would run out quickest. Once all the drinks were put away into the large fridge, he then went to work unloading the napkins and toilet paper.
It didn't take long before he was finished, the boxes even neatly stacked so that they would be thrown out later. Returning from the back, Quinn took the clipboard with the signature, "The boxes are unpacked." he let Rex know, giving one last look to Kai before then sighing again and leaving, heading out the back to his truck. He had another place he had to be. This club always seemed to be able to cause him added stress. Or maybe it wasn't the club, but his roommate that caused the stress? That would make more sense.

Re: Afterlife
"Tch, special people? What do I look like? Another ditsy girl ready to be charmed into another jerk's arms as their temporary play-toy? No! Never!" She thought.
Not so bad?... I guess I could believe that... That bartender seems nice... and no one can judge a book by their cover anyway. But still, that hooded jerk needs to learn some manners, badly. When she overheard them talking about a start-off song, she finally got up and walked over to the dancing area. It was about time the "party" started, dancing is always a good stress reliever.
"How about 'Shape Da Future'? If you don't have that, then screw you, it's a good song, you should." She suspected the DJ would talk off about her butting into the conversation, but she didn't care, if that guy he asked the song from first wasn't going to answer, then who will? She crossed her arms in front of herself as she now stood among the group, waiting for a reply.

Re: Afterlife
Rex looked after Quinn leaving, his heart sinking a bit. If anyone knew how to handle the pissed hunter in the room, it was him. There was his only hope of a peaceful night. Leaving. As soon as Xander finished setting up the equipment, the common infected also dashed off outside to his post.
Rex could bet that he would see Xander back in the club by tonight.
At the sound of Jiji's response, both Rex and Kai looked up at her.
Kai raised a brow and scoffed.
"I'm the fuckin' master of DJs. Of course I have that song. Even if it's total bullshit."
The hunter growled through his teeth.
"Who the hell asked you anyways? You got a job position in Afterlife? I don't think so. Shut yer trap unless your name is Rex or I call you Fido."
The screamer, on the other hand, gave Jiji a thankful smile.
"Manners, Kai. She's a guest and she wishes to dance. Anyways, I happen to find Shape Da Future a really catchy song."
Kai just glared at Rex.
"It's just a starter song."
Rex insisted gently.
Kai continued to glare but turned around and took his position behind his equipment.
"Yeah yeah whatever. Bullshit man.... Bullshit..."

Re: Afterlife
Jiji Narrowed her eyes at Kai.
"More like master-bating pussy cock-head idiot" She said under her breath a bit too loudly. She knew she was treading dangerous ground if he happen to hear her say that and was probably going to regret it sooner or later. The gamble was on whether this Kai guy was short-tempered enough to pick a fight... Though Jiji's better side would normally try to avoid such things, her own short-temper already threw the dice for the consequences...
"Whatev-, Mittens". Yep, her thoughts were confirmed, he's a jerk... well, too soon to tell why anyway. She noticed Rex smiling gratefully towards her and she couldn't help but smile back with a silent "you're welcome". It was then she caught a last glance of Quinn's back before he left through the exit. Whether she'd see that guy again was a random mystery. Oh well, whatever may happen, when the music should start she would let the music drown the senses and let her body go with the flow of the beat.

Re: Afterlife
Jiji didn't have to mutter her words "a little bit too loud" because Kai would've caught it anyways. He did catch it, in fact, and he was not pleased. Instead of just letting it go, Kai let the song play and rose from his position to confront Jiji, glaring down at her from behind his bangs.
"Got something to say bitch? If you wanna say something like that again, you best say it loud enough for the WHOLE FUCKIN' ROOM TO HEAR IT. Think I won't slap a bitch when she needs to learn manners? Think again. Think one more fucking time. Think long and hard because I assure you, you won't win."
Rex quickly intervened and got in between them.
"Kai! That's no way to treat our customers!"
Rex couldn't help but tremble. Why oh why did that girl have to open her mouth? Most people kept their opinions inside. Kai pushed Rex away, easily knocking the screamer down. It was all Rex could do to stop from screaming. He covered his mouth in desperation. Kai, seeing this weak attempt, had a better idea. He walked over to Rex and pulled him up by his collar.
"Bark for me, Fido!"
He mocked. By bark, of course, Kai meant scream.
"Bark! Bow-wow! Do it and I won't hurt the dumb bitch."
Rex struggled, feeling his lungs expand, preparing to scream but trying to hold it in.
"BARK FIDO FUCKIN' BARK!!!!"

Re: Afterlife
She glared Kai's direction when he spoke up against her. Oooh, She really hit the nail on this one, he really did have a short temper and a nasty attitude to match.
"Got something to say, b****?"
"Yeah, a lot!" She thought at that instant.
"Think I won't slap a b**** when she needs to learn manners?"
"Slap? Slapping's for pussies like you, I'd PUNCH!"
"Think again. Think one more f***ing time. Think long and hard because I assure you, you won't win"
Alright, that set the mood. The stage is set. Jiji was ready to rumble. She was confident she had an even chance of sending this trash to the floor. It wasn't like he was an alpha, right? Because being in the ranks of an alpha meant he'd be able to take on a small army at once and if he was in those ranks, she was screwed. But he didn't seem the type. Oh well, the dice have already been thrown and the cards have been dealt, there's no going back. Just when Jiji was psyche and ready to fight, she was a little surprised he picked after the bartender instead.
Jiji narrowed her eyes at this. Typical coward. Not that she doubt he wouldn't take her on but the fact he'd rather pick on someone weaker first. And this cruel abuse poor Rex was having to deal with was unacceptable! That's when she saw an opening. Kai was distracted with Rex... luck was making this too easy~
Before anyone knew what happened, Jiji's shoe swiftly met under Kai's jaw in a powerful Hunter upper-cut kick, very likely knocking the male hunter backwards and on his back. Jiji then didn't hesitate to stomp on Kai's gut and quickly kick him to his back before jumping on top of him and grabbing his arms, pinning them behind his back and pressing her right foot against the side of Kai's head. She held him hopefully securely to the ground.
"Yeah, I definitely have something to say! Especially since it seems like no one else here has the GUTS to TELL YOU OFF! FIRST OFF, I have a name, and it's JIJI! NOT profanity! SECOND, if anyone needs to learn some manners, it's YOU! Your abusive, inconsiderate, selfish, spoiled, bratty, arrogant, utterly immature behavior is UNACCEPTABLE! THIRD, you looked cute in that outfit until you opened your mouth. Cute doesn't look good on jerks, it only makes them look like an idiot. GOT IT?? I doubt you do! Now you can either say you're SORRY or you can FIGHT me like a man and leave your poor friend OUT OF IT!" Jiji snarled before letting go and quickly backing off.
(PS: if this post was a little too much, let me know and I'll redo this post ;<XD )

Re: Afterlife
What a little bitch!!!!
How typically cowardly for her to attack him while he wasn't paying attnetion to her. And Kai was so close to making Rex scream. Did this little cunt know how hard it was to make Rex scream?!
But that wasn't the first thing that went through the young Hunter's head.
First thing was more like: OWWWWWW WHAT A MOTHERFUCKER FUCK FUUUCK FUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!
The truth was, it didn't hurt that much.
Not that such an attack wasn't painful. It was. Just, contrary to popular belief, Kai got beaten in a regular basis. This position was not new.
"The only thing...."
Kai coughed for a while before pushing Jiji off easily and rising before her.
"The only fucking thing no one had the 'guts' to do was surprise attack me like a fuckin' shit-eating pussy. That's what you fuckin' are, ya know?"
Kai gripped at Jiji's wrists to stop the huntress from doing whatever she had planned and began twisting them forcefully. He then knocked her over and dug his knee into her chest, crushing her air supply with pleasure. The DJ couldn't help but cackle.
"Thanks you fuckin' shit-eating pussy. I would've looked like a total ass if you hadn't attacked me first. You did some damage. Be proud of yourself. For your information," Kai continued, still twisting Jiji's wrists past unimaginable bounderies, "I'm not trying to dress up cute. I don't fuckin' look like an idiot either. And I NEVER FUCKING APOLOGIZE. The fact that you called me and Fido friends shows how little you know about us so butt out of people's businesses, will ya?"
"Kai.... Kai stop twisting it..."
Rex's voice rang in concern. Kai glared up at him through his empty eye sockets and gritted his teeth, finally releasing his knee away from Jiji's chest.
"Fine. Just get her the fuck away from me. I don't want to fuckin' see her."
Rex stayed quiet but nodded timidly.
"Of course Kai. T-thanks for not being so rough this time. For holding back."
Kai stared at him for a while before snorting.
"Ah yea, of course. I know how much Xanxan hates cleaning off blood and all... Listen, I'm taking a break. Don't you dare touch my equipment or I'll kill your manhood with my bare hands."
"B-but Kai...! We need a D-"
"I'LL COME BACK JUST SHUT YER TRAP"
The hunter barked, knocking over Rex before kicking the door down and storming out. Rex shook his head. This was a horrible day. He wished he screamed sooner.

Re: Afterlife
Sorry for the delay, Skyrum's been a crazy craze lately here <3>; ]
When Kai shoved her away and rose up before her to his full height, she quickly realized this dude was nearly a foot taller than she was. But that didn't strike fear in her in the least. And though normally she didn't use her hands to attack, she was expecting him to crouch down into a pounce position and lunge at her or try and throw a punch or kick, but the swift and simple wrist grab wasn't exactly the first thing she expected. And even worse she couldn't pull away with the strength of her weak arms alone.
Before she could try and pry him off with a kick to the gut, he was quicker in knocking her over and giving her a harsh knee to the chest that easily knocked the wind out of her. After a moment of being unable to breathe, on her first gasp of airs he shrieked in surprised pain when he started twisting her arm. She then quickly forced her mouth shut to try and hide as much of her agony as she could... Though she failed to hide it completely, she was at least keeping herself quiet. She was a decently tough cookie herself.
"Oh GOSH!! DAGNABBIT AARAARAAGH!!! DANG, that hurts! aurgh! GNNNGH, SHEESH! Dang, hard to breathe! Darn it, what happened??? How did this happen?! ARUGH!" She thought to herself within the pain from the twisting arm. She couldn't remember the last time she felt pain like this... then again, actually, she could. She use to feel this all the time back in the savage zone to the point she got use to it... And though here in the civil area "cowardice" was looked down upon, it was a whole complete definition in the savage zone. It didn't matter if you fought "fair" or had "honor" and/or "dignity", what mattered was whether you got by or not, lived to see another day, were strong enough to see that next day, and returned stronger by then. This was called "Survival of the Fittest" where the weak were smart to run, the cunning controlled and manipulated what they could and the strong claimed all.
Anyway, still in the hunter's painful hold, she was going to try and slip a leg behind Kai and see if she could trip his legs over by kicking against the back of his other knee that was not crushed against her chest. She would then try and ram her body against Kai and to knock him back down to the ground to his back once more before falling with him and jabbing her pointy elbow at his neck or at least his chest or gut upon landing...
But that was when her temper was given the severely strict order to stand down from within the other side of her mind. Now it was her better side's turn for it was this side of herself that knew she was outmatched right now. Instead of fighting back, she simply let him twist her arm while she endured the pain fairly well. At least she wasn't screaming or anything, but her body was tense and her face made her stress obvious passed her silence. Instead of spewing out comebacks as her temper wanted to do with things such as.
"Tch, you sure you're not talking about yourself, puss?"
or
"I don't care what kind of freak'n seriously special demented issues you have, that give you NO RIGHT to treat others like crap! LEARN IT!"
and a parade of other things... but she decided to try to listen to what he had to say.
"Thank you f***in' s***-eating pussy. I would've looked like a total a** if you hadn't attacked me first. You did some damage. Be proud of yourself. For your information, I'm not trying to dress up cute. I don't f***in' look like an idiot either. And I NEVER F***ING APOLOGIZE. The fact that you called me and Fido friends shows how little you know about us so butt out of people's businesses, will ya?"
That confirmed it. Though she still thought he was a jerk, she somewhat misjudged him... just a bit. But mostly, she had let her temper take her into another foolish situation... What surprised her most was how she could of underestimated him.... or was it that she was rusty? It had been a handful of months since she last been in some serious action... lived in the savage zone where she fought just to eat, a place to sleep, avoid the frisky, even just to breathe life... fights were a common place. She remembered she was pretty strong herself. She could jump and run higher and faster than your average hunter due to her petite size and her powerful legs that were also stronger than your average due to her overuse of them and lack of using her claws and arms... She remembered she could stomp cracks in concrete, bust holes in brick walls and easily crush bones like butter at her best... what happened?...
By the time Kai let go of her, she gasped for air in relief before rubbing her wrists....
"Sheesh... he almost broke my wrists.... at least it's only strained..." She thought with a sighed. She had worse... at least it wasn't Xerxes... he would of done far more and worse than that...
"Of course Kai. T-thanks for not being so rough this time. For holding back."
"What? Darn it, I would of been screwed!" It then hit her. It wasn't that he was super strong... no, it was that she became weaker! She hadn't seen a real fight since she left the savage zone to follow her art career... the civil life had made her soft... She now more than ever wanted to return to the Savage Zone to regain the muscle she obviously lost. If she never came here until today from the Zone, the kick to the jaw she gave him earlier would of definitely snapped the neck of his spine... That’s how she had killed off most of her previous enemies. By either stomping their ribs in on their lungs, snap their spines, or crush their skulls, all with only the shear force of her once lethal kicks...
But enough about what could of been, would of been, and should of been... Back to the present... she, though most would think Kai was the last to deserve it, felt guilty and needed to apologize. With a sad expression of concern, she walked over to Rex.
"Sorry about the ruckus... I'm not normally like that.... At least no property was damaged, right?... well, anyway... even though he's obviously an undeserving jerk and all, I want to apologize to that hunter guy too when he gets back... I just hope he'll let me... Though I already figure I'm very unwelcome here and he'll only get mad and even attack if I try... Thanks... let me know when he gets back... " Without another word, she meekly walked over back to the seats at the bar counter.
She suddenly felt really hot. She looked around and realized the reason when she realized the large crowd of dancing people already here... dang, it was only a minute or two into the second song and already the room was collecting from the people's body heat. Even though it was only moderately warm in the room right now, with Jiji, a black jacket hoodie begged to differ...
She sighed before removing her jacket, set it down in her lap and continued waiting... Surprisingly, well not tooooooo surprisingly but not too expected none the less, now that her jacket was out of the way and the shape of her torso was more easily defined while wearing that red old t-shirt that looked ripped sleeveless, was torn around the bottom exposing some of her stomach and fit smugly on her body, her fairly large well-rounded bust, wide hips and lovely body curves vouched her age of adulthood... she was actually really sexy. Not the kind of sexy you'd see in hookers and hot whores where you immediately get excited at first notice, but the kind of sexy that wasn’t superficial or had any effort put into it to create the look. It was strangely innocent but naturally highly seductively attractive if your eyes delved at it for too long; like a curiously alluring aroma in the form of thick muddy hot quicksand that you half-warily sink head-first upside-down into with intoxicating symptoms.
First, you notice the person is hot with the obviousness of a sore thumb. Then as you continue to stare you find your mind gradually getting heavy as if you were slowly becoming drunk. Then your mouth starts breathing a little more heavily and you feel a lump of saliva stuck in your throat. Before long, you start hearing your own heartbeat beating in a low tone within your chest with a growing feeling of nervous... then you begin feeling an odd queasiness in the pit of your stomach and your intestines start churning around as if forming knots all over. and below that you feeling uncomfortably tight with a growing twisted feeling of eager excitement... and if you haven't turned away before this point, you will feel yourself becoming tempted to take action, whether it is to run or... something else.
Though anyone that looked at her could tell the obvious reason why she normally kept her jacket on, to Jiji's misfortune, she herself had forgotten. She continued to wait there at the bar counter with that concerned look on her face.

Re: Afterlife
((lolz I'm so sorry it took so long @.@))
Rex, actually the whole club seemed to be infinitely more calmer and fun without the presence of the bratty hunter. The polite screamer was just happy enough that Jiji sort of saved him, though it didn't surprise him that he was once again some sort of damsel in distress in such a situation. Or. Er. The male form of damsel. He laughed nervously and scratched the back of his head, his whole body and muscles relaxing.
"No, no it's fine. Seriously. Property would be replaceable and it looks like no one lost their head. Literally. So it's all good. We don't usually get bar fights around here but I guess we should expect them. Anyway, you did more of a service for me. Somehow Kai's been put in his place and now he's licking his wounds. He'll get over it. And you, young miss, are a guest."
Rex finally returned behind the bar and tended to others who approached it for actual booze, more than surprised that his most loyal customer Favian was not present yet. He stole a glance at Jiji, the peculiar huntress who had originally came to a bar/club to not drink and not dance. It made her stand out from the rest. Even with homosexual tendencies, the screamer felt a light blush devolp at his cheeks. And something like concern at the sight of Jiji's slim and attractive figure. She was obviously brimming with enough beauty to male nearby female zombies glare at her enviously and males to feast their eyes on her. Now Rex didn't know her well but he was anxious for her well being.
"I take it you know how to fight?"
He murmured quietly in front of her. No doubt, she certainly made Kai shut up some way or another. Speaking of the hunter, Rex really needed him to return. Soon.

Re: Afterlife
Jiji looked up at the screamer upon hearing his question. Thought a moment, and then replied with a troubled sigh.
"I use to." She said simply, obviously something must of broke her spirit after that fight.
"Well, I still can, but not as well as I use to. I'm pretty sure I would of been able to snap his neck if I had moved from the Savage Zone to here today. I miss that place, sure, it's well... savage obviously, like the days back during the apocalypse, but sometimes even living here in this civilized city seems to be a hassle. Over here, you own what you can pay for. Back in the Savage Zone, you own what you can fight and defend for. I still have a hard time deciding which living was the better living. Here or there. Well, then again, I guess it's nice not to always have to worry about whether your neighbor is hungry enough to eat you or not... or upset enough to kill you. What about you? What's your story, if you mind sharing." She asked, looking rather bored now. She eyed the dance floor now and then with a restless gaze.
